Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Serious Business Software LLC (“we”, “us”) covering the MusicWipe app for iPhone, iPad and Mac and the MusicWipe service that separates audio for it. By using MusicWipe you agree to these Terms.

Apple’s Standard EULA

MusicWipe is distributed through the App Store and the Mac App Store and is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These Terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict.

Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Keep access to that account secure. You are responsible for activity on your MusicWipe account. You can delete your account at any time in the app’s Settings. How we handle your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions, minutes and billing

  • MusicWipe offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (Creator and Pro), each with a monthly allowance of minutes of audio processed, plus optional top-up minutes.
  • Subscriptions and top-ups are purchased through Apple and billed to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
  • Top-up minutes do not expire.
  • We may change plans or prices in the future. Price changes for existing subscriptions follow Apple’s rules, including any notice Apple requires.

Your content and your rights to it

You may only process video and audio that you own or have the rights to use. By uploading audio, you confirm that you have those rights and that processing it does not infringe anyone else’s copyright or other rights.

MusicWipe is a tool for cleaning up your own footage, for example to replace background music with a track you are licensed to use. You keep all rights to your content. You give us permission to process the audio you upload only to provide the separation you asked for, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Audio separation is very good, but not perfect. Results depend on the source material, and some audio may keep traces of music or lose some of the sound you wanted to keep. Please check the free preview before processing a full video.

We do not guarantee that a video processed with MusicWipe will avoid copyright claims, content identification matches, takedowns or any other action by a platform or rights holder. Whether you may publish a video is your responsibility.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • process content you do not have the rights to use, or use MusicWipe to infringe anyone’s intellectual property;
  • process unlawful content, or use MusicWipe for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the MusicWipe service or its infrastructure, except as the law expressly allows;
  • misuse the free tier, for example by creating accounts to get around its limits, or resell access to the service.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

The service

We work to keep MusicWipe available and reliable, but the cloud processing service may occasionally be unavailable, and features may change over time. We may stop offering the service with reasonable notice where practical.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MusicWipe is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Serious Business Software LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits or content, arising from your use of MusicWipe. Our total liability for any claim relating to MusicWipe is limited to the amount you paid for MusicWipe in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use MusicWipe after an update means you accept the new Terms.
