Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information MusicWipe collects, why, and what happens to it. MusicWipe is published by Serious Business Software LLC (“we”, “us”). It applies to the MusicWipe app for iPhone, iPad and Mac and to this website, musicwipe.com.

The short version

• Your video never leaves your device. Only its audio track is uploaded, so it can be separated into dialogue, music and effects.
• Uploaded audio is deleted automatically: separated audio 24 hours after your job finishes, abandoned uploads within 2 hours, and anything left over after 2 days at most.
• Your audio is never used to train models, never sold, and never shared except with the service providers named below that process it for us.
• There is no advertising in MusicWipe and no tracking across other apps or websites.

Your account

You sign in to MusicWipe with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. From that sign-in we store:

• your email address,
• your name, if you choose to share it, and
• the account identifier the provider gives us.

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see and use Apple’s private relay address, and we respect that choice.

We use this information to run your account, keep track of your plan and minutes, and reply if you contact us.

Account and usage data

To provide the service we keep a record of your account, the minutes you have used, and a record of your processing jobs. This data is stored with Cloudflare, in a Cloudflare D1 database.

Your audio

When you preview or clean a video, MusicWipe extracts the audio track on your device and uploads only that audio. The video itself stays on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.

• Where it goes. Audio is uploaded to Cloudflare R2 storage and processed on GPU servers operated by Modal Labs in the United States.
• How long it is kept. Separated audio is deleted automatically 24 hours after your job finishes. Uploads that are abandoned before processing are deleted within 2 hours. As a backstop, stored audio is removed after 2 days at most.
• What it is used for. Only to produce the separated audio you asked for. Your audio is never used to train models, never sold, and never shared with anyone other than the processors named here.

Purchases

Subscriptions and top-ups are sold and billed by Apple. We receive transaction identifiers and your subscription status so we can give you the right plan and minutes. We never receive or store your payment details.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings. Deleting your account immediately deletes your account, your job history and any of your audio that is still stored, and revokes MusicWipe’s Sign in with Apple token.

This website

This website uses Abner for page analytics. Abner is a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. This website does not set advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. The only thing it stores in your browser is your light or dark theme choice.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers that run MusicWipe for us, and only for that purpose:

• Cloudflare: account and usage data (D1) and uploaded audio storage (R2).
• Modal Labs: GPU processing of your audio, in the United States.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple, and billing for subscriptions and top-ups.
• Google: Sign in with Google, if you choose it.
• Abner: cookieless analytics for this website.

No advertising, no tracking

MusicWipe shows no ads, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

Children

MusicWipe is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the app.
